Delivery & Returns

Please note: Orders shipped outside the UK may be liable to taxes, duties, custom charges and extra fees charged by the courier company at destination. Payment will need to be made by the recipient and I cannot be held responsible for any charge once the package has been shipped from my London home. Please note the custom process might incur additional delays.

Order Fulfilment

To be honest, I'm a one-person operation here at SleepingGiant, and when you place an order with me, I get super excited and can't wait to get your order to you. I want you to receive your order as soon as possible. Orders are fulfilled from my home office in London, England, between 1-3 business days from the time your order is processed. Orders placed on a Friday after the cut-off post time (1pm) or during the weekend will be shipped on Monday within working hours.

Shipping | UK mainland orders

I use Royal Mail for all UK shipments. Orders are shipped via First Class Royal Mail delivery (up to 2 working days from dispatch, depending on your level of service). Please note that I have no control over the postal service and how quickly your order will be delivered once it leaves my home office in London. Key retail dates, holidays, and unforeseen circumstances like COVID-19 may cause shipping delays that are beyond my control. I recommend that you plan ahead and shop early.

I use tracked shipments for all parcels so you can easily check the status of your package here: https://www.royalmail.com/. For any questions about your delivery, please contact me, providing your name, order number, and full address, so I can assist you promptly.

Shipping | International Orders

International orders are shipped via Royal Mail tracked service or through a courier to select countries. You will receive a tracking number when your order is dispatched, allowing you to monitor your parcel's delivery status. International deliveries typically take 3-5 business days.

For international orders, it's essential to check with your carrier for updates on your delivery. By proceeding with your order, you agree to these terms for your shipment. Please note that I have no control over the postal service and the speed of international deliveries once they leave my home office in London. Similar to UK orders, factors like key retail dates, holidays, and unforeseen circumstances may cause shipping delays, so I advise ordering early.

If your international order experiences further delays beyond the mentioned times, please send an email to karen@sleepinggiant-consulting.com, and I will locate your order and work to get it to you as soon as possible.

Unfortunately, I cannot ship international orders to PO BOXES, and I'm unable to redirect orders once they have been processed. Customs & Import Duties

The prices of the items you order do not include custom taxes and import duties, as these charges vary by country. As the recipient, you are responsible for all import duties, customs, and local sales taxes levied by the country to which you are shipping. Payment of these charges may be necessary to release your order from customs upon arrival. If you decline to accept your parcel, your items may be returned to me, and you will be liable for any additional returns and customs charges related to your return. These charges will be deducted from any refunds owed to you. If items are destroyed by the authorities and I am are unable to offer you a refund.

EU customers, please note the changes to EU VAT rules from 1st July 2021 – there will no longer be a threshold on the value of goods being imported into the EU, meaning ALL purchases made from a UK website to be shipped into the EU will be subject to VAT. You – the buyer – may be charged VAT and admin fees when your order arrives in your country before your purchase is released to you. Fees will vary depending on your country.

Unsuccessful Deliveries

Once your parcel leaves my home office, it's the carrier's responsibility. If you're not home when the carrier attempts delivery, they will leave you a card with instructions on how to obtain your parcel. According to the carrier's policy, you will have a specified period from the date of attempted delivery to rearrange delivery. After this date, items will automatically be returned to me. If the item is returned in this manner, I will need to charge you again for postage before sending it out again. I will contact you initially to discuss this with you. To avoid delivery delays, I recommend having your item shipped to your daytime address (e.g., your work address).

Returns

Please inspect your order upon receipt and contact me immediately if the item is defective, damaged, or the wrong number of items, so that I can evaluate the issue and make it right.

Here at SleepingGiant, I want you to be satisfied with my products, but if you need to return a product that you are not satisfied with, I give you 14 days to do so. To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unused, and, if possible, in its original packaging. You’ll also need proof of purchase.

Your right to return starts from the moment your order is delivered. You can return the product(s) to me within this time frame, at your own expense, along with your purchase confirmation. If 14 days have passed since your purchase, I regret that I can't offer you a refund or exchange.

I require that you send the SleepingGiant product(s) via tracked delivery, and shipping fees remain your responsibility. This is necessary to protect against loss or damage to the goods until they reach me. The present right of return only applies to products that are returned in their original and complete condition. Any product that has been used, damaged or is not in its original packaging will not be refunded. The deadlines mentioned above are effective from the date of receipt of the order.

To return products, please follow these steps:

  1. Package your return in its original parcel and include a copy of the proof of purchase.

  2. Mail the package using registered mail with insurance for the value of the merchandise.

  3. Email karen@sleepinggiant-consulting.com with return details and tracking information.

  4. Packages should be addressed to: SleepingGiant, 12 Sylvan Avenue, Wood Green London, N22 5HX, UK.

Refunds (if applicable)

Once I receive and inspect your return, I will send you an email to notify you that I have received your returned item. I will also inform you of the approval or rejection of your refund. If your refund is approved, it will be processed (excluding shipping charges), and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment within 5 business days.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Item is returned within 14 days of purchase.

  • Proof of purchase is provided.

  • The returned item is unused with original packaging.

Please note that shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.

Late or Missing Refunds

If you're expecting a refund and haven't received it yet, please first check your bank account. Then contact your credit card company, as it may take some time before your refund is officially posted. Next, contact your bank, as there is often some processing time before a refund is posted. If you've completed these steps and still have not received your refund, please contact me at karen@sleepinggiant-consulting.com .

Exchanges

I only replace items if they are defective or damaged. If you need to exchange an item please send me an email at karen@sleepinggiant-consulting.com and send your item to SleepingGiant, 12 Sylvan Avenue, Wood Green London, N22 5HX, UK.
