How much fun can you have in a business context? Whilst my clients will regularly get out the pens and paper, visualise and use role-play, it's not often that they embrace a truly creative endeavour in the pursuit of self-reflection and goals. The other evening I had the opportunity to work with a client using LEGO®. It was via Skype and voice only, making it more than interesting listening to the models being built, the subsequent descriptions and then for us to discuss them in context with the goals.
Later this year I will be training as a LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® Facilitator, which I am really excited about. LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® is a "science-based process and draws on extensive research from the fields of business, organisational development, psychology and learning." I'm sure the architects will appreciate this creative and playful way to develop teams, innovate, explore ideas and ultimately improve business.
